250t EOT Crane for Power Plant in Zimbabwe

Liftsmart designed and manufactured two 250t/50t/10t bridge cranes for the workshop of Kariba South Bank Hydropower Station in Zimbabwe.

Liftsmart designed and manufactured two 250t/50t/10t bridge cranes for the workshop of Kariba South Bank Hydropower Station in Zimbabwe, which are mainly used for the installation and maintenance of the stator and rotor of the hydro-generator and other equipment in the workshop. The heavy part is the rotor with the lifting shaft. The weight of the rotor assembly (including the hoisting shaft) is about 403.5t, and two bridge cranes are required for synchronous lifting.

When lifting, the lifting of the two bridge machines and the main and axillary trolley need to be synchronized, so the system control is more complicated. To this end, by developing the bridge machine PROFIBUS-DP bus control system, the circuit of the entire electrical system can be greatly simplified, thereby ensuring the accuracy of its control and the stability of the system operation.

After the factory debugging, the two bridge cranes have successfully realized the data exchange of the bridge crane communication system. The operation of each mechanism is stable, and the requirements of parallel cranes and cranes have been well realized. All indicators meet the requirements.
